Our Story- A Legacy of Service

The Sullivan family has been involved in the pest control industry for more than half a century, with over 100 years of combined experience. It all began in 1956 when Chuck’s Great Uncle Joe started his career with Bruce Terminix in Memphis, Tennessee. As the pest control industry evolved, so did our family’s involvement.

In 1960, Chuck’s father Quitman joined his uncle in California and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually managing the San Jose office by 1964. Chuck grew up around the dinner table talk of termites, treatments, and customer care, and by the age of 17, he was working alongside his father—becoming one of the youngest certified pest control operators in California.

Over the years, Chuck worked his way through the industry—from route technician to manager of Terminix in Tacoma, and finally to owner of Chuck Sullivan Exterminators. In 2000, the company was renamed to Pest Stop to reflect the growth of the brand and better align with the company’s website and vision for the future.

A New Generation, Same Commitment

In 2025, Chuck and Karla proudly passed the torch to their son, Billy, who now leads the company as owner of Pest Stop Services, Inc. Billy grew up in the family business, and brings with him a deep respect for the legacy built by his parents and generations before him. With a heart for the community and a vision for the future, Billy is expanding Pest Stop’s services while maintaining the values that have always set us apart—family, trust, and a relentless commitment to quality service.
